Rachael Garner is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) and holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). She combines a gentle, down-to-earth approach to therapy with sound, evidence-based practice to promote real change and healing for her clients. She is currently pursuing board certification in Sex Therapy and is a Professional Associate Member of the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists (ABCST).
Rachael works with couples and individuals around a variety of issues, including anxiety and depression, communication skills, and relationship distress. She has additional training in sexual issues, including trauma and abuse, male and female dysfunctions, low desire, and sex during the childbearing years. As a certified Gottman Level I therapist, she draws from the research of Drs. John and Julie Gottman and from an emotion-focused approach to help couples identify the root of conflict, break disruptive cycles, and move towards productive and fulfilling relationships.
Rachael also holds a Masters in Theology from RTS and is uniquely equipped to walk with clients who desire both a strong biblical foundation and a well-informed therapeutic approach. She delights to work with a diverse array of clients, respectfully seeking to understand and support each client as an individual with inherent worth and dignity.

Rachael hails from Atlanta, and she doesn’t miss the traffic at all. She and her husband moved to Jackson for Rachael to attend grad school, and they fell so in love with the city that they haven’t looked back. They are passionate about the flourishing of Jackson and its people and are serious about good neighboring.
