Help for People in Abusive Relationships

Domestic abuse varies in frequency and severity, but the one constant component is the abuser’s consistent efforts to maintain that control over you by any means necessary.

The partner who abuses has every intention to exert power and control over the other.

If you are in an abusive relationship, the counselors at Watershed are equipped to help. We will help you create a safety plan, talk through urgent decision making and uncertainties like if you should leave (and if so, how to leave safely), what your rights are, and if the behavior is abuse or just an anger problem, and many more.

Once you are safe, we can begin treating the trauma related to the horrors the abuse put you through.
